Lights Before Christmas at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden
November 22 - December 30, 2013 (Closed November 28, December 24 & 25)
Lights Before Christmas has been a holiday tradition for more than 25 years! Visit Riverbanks Zoo & Garden this December 2013 to enjoy nearly one million twinkling lights, countless animated images, nightly visits with Santa, warm memories and holiday cheer around the Jingle Bell Bonfire, and festive foods including hot cocoa, marshmallows and more! Holiday Lights at Saluda Shoals Park
November 27 - December 31, 2013
Saluda Shoals Park will come alive in a blaze of more than a million sparkling lights. Holiday Lights on the River features over 400 themed, animated light displays on a two-mile loop of the Park! Enjoy the Dazzling Dancing Forest with it's dancing, lighted trees synchronized to classical and whimsical holiday music. Take a stroll along the boardwalk through the Wetland Wonderland Walking Trail and watch nature come to life in sparkling lights. Main Street Ice at Boyd Plaza
November 28, 2013 - January 20, 2014
Get in the holiday spirit and celebrate the winter season ice skating at Boyd Plaza! The City of Columbia and Magic Ice USC proudly present a spectacular ice skating rink, right here in Columbia SC! Christmas in Cayce Tree Lighting Ceremony
December 5, 2013
The 36th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is a free holiday event, sponsored by the Woman's Club of Cayce. Guests are asked to bring canned goods and non-perishables to decorate the Food Tree. Proceeds from the sale of lights are used to fund the Woman's Club scholarship program which is given to a Cayce student each year.

Visit Cayce City Hall to enjoy the magic of thousands of twinkling lights and dazzling holiday displays. Each year's display unveils a number of new sculptures and stunning displays. This spectacular holiday event is FREE to the public.

A Christmas Carol at Trustus Theatre

You've never seen A Christmas Carol like this! A new holiday tradition begins on the Thigpen Main Stage as FIVE actors perform all the characters of Charles Dickens’ classic story in a re-imagined production that only twelve theatres in the nation have the rights to perform. Ebenezer Scrooge is a wealthy miser who has no love for humankind nor any holiday cheer. His clerk Bob Cratchit works in a cold corner of the office just to make ends meet for his family, especially his ailing son Tiny Tim. When Scrooge is visited by his deceased business partner Jacob Marley, a night of haunts begins as spirits take Scrooge to the past, present and future in an attempt to show him the good in humanity and what charity can do. Carols Along the Riverwalk

The sounds of Christmas abound at the Cayce Riverwalk Park where several area church choirs and local musicians will be located throughout the half mile of the park. Wander from choir to choir to enjoy the holiday musical selections. The Riverwalk will be lighted with luminaries and hot apple cider will be served free of charge.
